Wake Up Call
If there's one thing I've learned over the past few months, it's that if you don't take time to slow down sometimes, sooner or later it could catch up to you. I've learned this all too literally this past summer. At the beginning of July I took a bad fall in the bathroom of our home. I fell in such a way that I ended up hitting the left side of my head on the edge of the bathtub. I felt fine at first, but a few days later I started to have really intense headaches. Probably some of the worst I had ever experienced. They lasted for a few weeks and then went away. I decided to see my doctor just in case. Turns out, the fall had caused a concussion and my doctor diagnosed me with post concussive syndrome in early August. She sent me on my way with a list of things to stay away from for a few weeks.
